    Job Description This position reports to and assists the Educational Policy Director-SES with the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program. This unit is responsible for the development of performance standards for voluntary prekindergarten students; reviewing and providing information on curricula which meets standards; and providing training and assistance to early learning coalitions, school boards, and providers in all aspects of planning, implementing, and evaluating research-based programs to ensure that students meet established performance standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:

    This is highly responsible, professional work requiring a substantial degree of independent activity to coordinate complex administrative programs of the Division of Early Learning.

    Duties include:

    Assists with data analysis related to VPK accountability (e.g., VPK enrollment, program assessment, coordinated screening and progress monitoring data), as assigned.

    -- Coordinates and organizes activities related to VPK accountability, as assigned.

    -- Updates, maintains, and creates project related documents, as needed.

    -- Responds to inquiries on Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) accountability and program requirements and assists with issue resolution, submitted from VPK stakeholders (e.g., providers, parents, coalitions, and school districts) verbally and/or in writing.

    --Manage the VPKFAST email inbox, answer provider/coalition emails and when appropriate, route emails to designated staff for resolution/response.

    --In collaboration with the System Project Coordinator, assist to develop or modify rules related to VPK Accountability.

    --Recommends improvements to ensure increased efficiency and productivity for the office.

    --Performs related tasks as assigned.
