Preferences:

  • Six (6) months or more of professional experience in disbursements (accounts payable).

  • Six (6) months or more of professional experience in either reviewing, managing, or monitoring contracts and or grants.

  • Professional experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, and agency policies.

    The base annual salary for this position is $49,839.59.

    Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

    This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to understand, interpret, and apply State & Federal laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to work from a concept and develop logical conclusions and recommendations. Ability to effectively communicate information verbally and in writing. Ability to independently plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    This is a professional accounting/auditing position involving the independent application of accounting and auditing concepts, principles, theories, and technical skills. This position will be conducting pre-audits of payments and expanded audits of payments, as well as reviewing contracts and grants for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and CFO Memoranda.
