JOB DESCRIPTION:
The employee in this position serves as the personnel liaison for the Office of School Business Services and the Office of Educational Facilities. As such he/she is responsible for preparing personnel actions, serving as timekeeper by maintaining attendance and leave records, and preparing position requisitions through People First System. Confidentiality of these matters will always be maintained.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
Acts as office manager for the Office of Assistant Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Operations
Makes bureau’s publications ADA-compliant with assistive technology
Works closely with the Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Operations staff to provide support as needed; provides office back-up for the Division Office as needed
Manages the Assistant Deputy Commissioner’s calendar and schedules meetings and office functions as appropriate
Manages Assistant Deputy Commissioner’s tasks and schedules to ensure that all items and projects are completed in a timely manner as prescribed by office practices and Statute, including department, legislative and executive functions
Review all correspondence, publications, and documents for Assistant Deputy Commissioner’s signature/approval for grammatical accuracy, formatting consistency with division and department practices. Ensure that all approved edits are included prior to documentation being presented for final approval

Maintain office supplies and order and make MFMP payments as appropriate
CorrFlow Liaison responsible for correspondence to Bureau’s under the Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Operations ensuring timely completion
Provide support to the Bureau Chief of School Support Services and Office of Educational Facilities as needed
Perform related tasks as assigned

LEAVE INFORMATION:
+ + Annual Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions are credited with 176 hours of annual leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of the initial appointment.
Sick Leave - Employees in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions shall be credited with 104 hours of sick leave upon appointment. In subsequent years, the annual allotment is credited on the anniversary date of initial appointment.
BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
