Amentum Global Payroll Senior Manager in Tallahassee, Florida

Pay range 145 - 150K (depending on experience). US Citizenship is required to apply.

The Senior Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for leading and managing all payroll operations outside of the United States. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll processes across various international locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global payroll management, a deep understanding of international payroll laws and regulations, and a proven track record of successful payroll implementations and ongoing service delivery. Position is US remote-telework; candidate located near a HQ facility (Chantilly, VA or Fort Worth, TX) for flexible onsite work is preferred. We will consider candidates that are not in the mentioned geographic areas as long as you are open to light travel to our Chantilly, VA office. US citizenship is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the global payroll team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

  • Ensure that payroll operations are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

2. Process Management and Improvement:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve global payroll processes and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Standardize payroll processes across all international locations to ensure consistency and reliability.

  • Engage with internal and external partners to develop, test and deploy key integrations of HR and labor data feeds into the payroll processes.

3. Service Delivery:

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all international employees.

  • Address and resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Partner with Finance partners to ensure funds are in place to support payroll disbursements and employees payments are issued without delay.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay updated on international payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risk.

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

5. Implementation and Project Management:

  • Lead and manage payroll implementations for new international locations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure successful payroll system implementations and integrations.

6. Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and regulatory authorities.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on payroll operations and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of the degree requirement.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management, finance/accounting or related experience, with at least 5 years in a global payroll leadership role.

  • Extensive knowledge of international payroll laws and regulations.

  • Proven experience in payroll process improvement and standardization.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in payroll system implementations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.

  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.

  • Experience working in a multinational corporation.

  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • This role may require occasional travel to various domestic/international locations.

  • Flexible working arrangements are available.
