WSP is currently initiating a search for a motivated Disaster Recovery Program Manager to join an established Emergency Management team. The successful candidate will grow the Disaster Recovery program. This position can be based in Orlando, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Atlanta, GA; Baton Rouge, LA; New York, NY; Raleigh, NC; Austin TX; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow and lead emerging disaster recovery program

  • Develop and implement strategic disaster recovery business plan

  • Leverage Disaster Recovery Client Development and Business Development skills to add 3-5 new contracts the first year, with the expectation to grow contracts by 20% annually thereafter

  • Identify and Develop recovery team staff

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security and/or Emergency Management discipline

  • 10+ years’ experience in Disaster Recovery, including 5+ years in a management role

  • Broad knowledge in Emergency and Disaster Management Strategy

  • In depth knowledge of FEMA policies on recovery and grant management

  • Proven ability to win new projects

  • Strong relationships with state and federal clients

  • Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations

  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Homeland Security and/or Emergency Management discipline

  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
