The Director, Organizational Design will serve as a strategic partner to help establish a true OD foundation across the global enterprise to help shape the organization by aligning structure, roles, and responsibilities to organizational objectives (both present and long-term). This includes org design recommendations that support business priorities, optimize business performance, and enhance team effectiveness. This individual contributor will be part of the Organizational Effectiveness team which is embedded with the global Talent function.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business strategy and translate into clear organizational design recommendations, including spans and layers and operating model.

  • Maintains the structure through regular assessments, leveraging data/analytics to create insights on organizational health and to understand current state / performance. Presents concerns, insights, and recommendations to key leaders (Enterprise, Group and/or Function) and human resources members (HRBPs).

  • Collaborates across the organization to help define the functional skills & competencies required to help support the organization as designed. Supports the identification of gaps (i.e. assessments) and strategic plans to close them (partnering with Talent and Learning).Evolves this foundational work into the development of career pathways.

  • Supports the organization to improve the effectiveness of teams and cross-functional collaboration through functional resources such as team assessments and assimilations.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of proven experience in a senior organizational design role, preferably within a complex, multi-regional organization.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in I/O Psychology, Organizational Development or Organizational Leadership strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of organizational design principles, methodologies, and tools with demonstrated experience in job architecture/analysis, including design and implementation.

  • Strong program/project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing change initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success in metrics-driven environment; experience with a bias for data analytics preferred.

  • Ability to establish credibility and build collaborative partnerships with all levels of management and individuals across a broad range of business groups.

The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $175,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
