 Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Analyst, Advanced for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

Support our client in a potential multiyear effort to serve as a liaison between the business community and the client to provide technical solutions that meet the Department’s needs. 

• Possess and apply expertise in the OIT’s business unit(s) they support and an understanding of the Department’s systems and capabilities.

• Analyze OIT’s business unit(s) operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

• Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

• Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the OIT and manage changes to such specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant technical or business work experience.

• Experience serving as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.

• Experience and expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities.

• Experience analyzing business unit operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

• Experience assisting in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

• Experience translating high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and managing changes to such specifications.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills. (Proficient in English)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with Microsoft .NET Programming

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or 5 years equivalent work experience.
