What You Will Do :
Guidehouse seeks a dynamic and experienced Acquisition Planning and Innovation Lead to join its Business Transformation solution team. In this role, you will share leading best practices and innovative strategies to enhance the quality and execution of acquisition activities for our customers. Your primary objective will be recommending strategies to achieve the desired performance acquisition outcomes. Lead category management analysis, reporting, and recommendations. Facilitating and engaging collaboratively with stakeholders will be critical to enhancing processes and the execution of acquisition strategies, and the quality of acquisition documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal acquisition policies, regulations and familiarity with category management best practices. Additionally, experience leading teams, possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate acquisition processes.
Guidehouse seeks an acquisition professional with 7+ years of direct experience supporting acquisition planning activities and facilitating discussions on best practices and innovative strategies used throughout the acquisition lifecycle leading to contract award. This position requires knowledge and experience supporting federal category management, acquisition planning activities, and identifying the best strategies to achieve contract outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies opportunities to apply best practices or innovative procurement strategies throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
Advises operations and program office teams, including legal and finance, on strategies to streamline the acquisition process.
Facilitates discussions and guides acquisition planning and the development of acquisition packages.
Recommends metrics and supports data collection, monitoring, and analysis to determine achievement of contract outcomes.
Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the acquisition process.
Stays informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities for potential acquisitions.
Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Communicates and prepares engaging and dynamic briefings for senior executives.
Supports the development and continuous improvement of Guidehouse acquisition methodologies and tools.
Assists with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
What You Will Need :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting federal acquisitions
Experience supporting category management programs.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy/Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience working in federal acquisitions.
Strong knowledge of the federal acquisition process.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
Ability to write and edit reports, create briefings for senior executives, research and write articles, and customize content for various audiences.
Proficient use of the suite of Microsoft Office products.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Industry-recognized certifications, such as the Project Management Professional.
Federal acquisition experience across multiple federal agencies to leverage best practices and innovative approaches to solving complex procurements.
The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00-$256,100.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
