Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Paramedic in Talihina, Oklahoma
As Paramedic with CNHSA each week you will work 2, 24-hour shifts, and off 72 hours, with a total of 48 hours worked each week | Starting range is $23 - $25 per hour | Overtime of 8 hours each week
Job Summary: As a Paramedic you will administer basic and advanced life support care to sick and injured persons as directed by physician(s). You will assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be. Transport sick and injured persons from one medical center to another. You will report to the EMS Transportation Manager.
Primary Tasks:
Provide medical assistance during emergency situations, such as CPR, AED, prevent shock, control severe bleeding, prevent spinal damage, etc.
Administer intravenous medications, drips, and oxygen.
Perform endotracheal intubations.
Evaluate a patient’s condition to determine the right course of treatment.
Monitor patient’s condition to keep him/her stable while enroute to the hospital.
Aid in the transfer of patients to the emergency units of hospitals.
Create a patient care report and take notes of the medical treatment given to the patient.
Keep the equipment clean after use; check and replace damaged and used supplies and ensures decontamination of the interior of the ambulance.
You will perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Current and valid driver’s license with zero points on driving record
Current Oklahoma State Department of Health Paramedic License required
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required
