Google Strategic Partnerships Development Lead, Chrome OS in Taipei, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in business, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

  • 5 years of experience in a customer-facing, partnership, or account management role, or working in business development.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to partner with the APAC and global team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hardware and/or software industry experience, or equivalent.

  • Understanding of the Chrome OS ecosystem and the ability to communicate its value to external counterparts.

  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.

  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys to complete agreements.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Lead, you will lead our business development efforts for key Chrome OS partners. You will be the primary liaison between the partnerships team and Product. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing relationships with hardware manufacturers (Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs)) in the Chrome OS ecosystem, and for designing and implementing new programs to promote the health and expansion of the ecosystems. You will be the primary partner contact for some of our most important partners, leading our collaboration and driving tactics designed to improve the usage and distribution of our platforms. You will also track and analyze key metrics, proactively resolve business and technical issues with our partners, and identify new partnership opportunities.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

  • Identify, create, lead, negotiate, and implement effective business development agreements that drive results across the Chrome OS platform business.

  • Maintain consultative business relationships with hardware partners and gain exposure to partners’ business initiatives to positively impact platform ecosystem proliferation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis, and develop and communicate final recommendations.

  • Lead Google’s business development efforts for Chrome OS globally, with a focus on key partners (e.g., OEMs, ODMs, etc.).
