Amazon Sales Operation Intern in Taipei, Taiwan

A successful candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering and solving complicated problems, learning complex systems, working with numbers, and organizing and communicating data and reports. You will also be passionate about helping the team make great decisions based on data, possess exceptional skills in project management and data reporting, and be interested in e-commerce industry. You will be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. Candidates must be comfortable both as an individual contributor and in a team environment, and must be obsessed with serving the customer. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven work environment. Candidate should be able to work as full-time intern (40 hrs/week).

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with business teams and programs to identify, define and document analytical reporting needs – baseline problem statement through deep dive analytics

• Act as a liaison between program managers, technical analysts and functional experts to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance

• Consolidate information into cohesive and insightful analytical reports for use in decision-making. Generate high quality and insightful recommendations, thereby drive value and program / process efficiency

• Automate the report generation process though use of tools and programing techniques: such as SQL, Python, and advanced Excel

• Deploy visualization tools and techniques such as Salesforce, Tableau, PowerBI, and Infographics to build comprehensive dashboards

• Track and document changes in functional and business specifications to accurately identify and measure KPIs

• Write detailed procedures for manual and automated reporting processes and for use in training

• Identify opportunities for improving business processes through detailed and thorough root cause analysis

• Participate in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility - thereby resolve problems including organizational, analytical & procedural ones

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolling in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program or have graduated less than 12 months ago.

• Strong analytical skills – has ability to ask right questions, analyze data, draws conclusion by making appropriate assumptions.

• Skilled in Excel, SQL, programmatic report development and metric management

• Experience in modeling complex business scenarios with keen business sense

• Communication skills – ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English

• Ability to present information professionally and concisely with supporting data

• Ability to execute internal operation, troubleshoot issues and manage multiple interests simultaneously in a timely manner

• Outstanding attention to details; Exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven success record in workflow improvement and SOP development

• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal team and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated record in sales operation, data analysis and/or customer service

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) management using Tableau and/or Salesforce system

• Experience in information, internet, cross-border e-commerce, or a similar industry.

• Experience managing external customers and developing sales materials

• Understanding of API application and sales funnel

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Management, Information Management, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or graduated less than 12 months ago.
