Amazon Data Center Operation Technician (IT Engineer) in Taipei, Taiwan

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, with key focus on expanding its footprints in APAC in recent years.

We are seeking talented technicians who can take ownership, eager to learn and self-motivated. The successful candidate shall follow Amazon Data Center processes and maintain high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software. They need to adapt to fast and constantly changing environment and may require shift work including weekend and holiday.

Key job responsibilities

• 7x24 roster duty in data center operations

• Incident first responder and follow call leader’s instruction for hands on support

• Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guideline

• Maintain proper media operations according to process guideline

• Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guideline

• Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas

• Learn and develop on operation and support processes with innovation and automation

Basic Qualifications

• Show interest in learning computing hardware and operation systems and basic understanding on incidents response and prioritization.

• Good written and verbal communication English

• Up to 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting. Fresh graduates are welcome

Preferred Qualifications

• Majoring in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines is a plus but not required

• Knowledge in Computer Server Hardware

• Knowledge in Linux Operation System

• Knowledge on any operations, processes and continuous processes improvement

• Literacy in security and customer data protection
