Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer, Ring in Taipei, Taiwan

Description

Ring is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who can build end-to-end data pipelines and analytical tools, automate reporting and equip our business stakeholders with data driven actionable insights. This is an exciting opportunity to drive short, medium, and long-term initiatives that address complex problems and allow the business to scale. This is a position that engages directly with leadership across Amazon Devices and Ring and is responsible for communicating the most critical details of emerging issues to those that need to be involved.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and demonstrate advanced problem solving, analysis, modeling, and reporting skills. You will be passionate about analyzing large data sets, leveraging multiple sources, and exploring new analytical tools to answer complex business questions and implement solutions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead one or more project teams of other data engineers for all stages of design and development for complex, secure and performant data solutions and models, including design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration of structured/unstructured data.

  • Provide domain-specific expertise and overall data systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Own the design, development, and management of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards to support business needs and troubleshooting.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the big data space.

  • Collaborate and communicate with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution.

  • Capture business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports

  • Drive execution of fixes and feature changes to ensure the delivery is in line with the expected outcome and target dates

  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and consistently with all stakeholders through various channels including ongoing program status reports

  • Mitigate impact and improve the operation process by developing tactical action items and drive them with internal stakeholders and CMs for System Integration in Asia (Agile, EDI, Supply Planning, etc.)

  • System onboarding and management of additional phase 2 and other tools implementation that are vital to the overall integration efforts. Maintain and facilitate CMs onboarding in multiple geographies (China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, etc.)

  • Partner with Product, SCM, and Operations leaders to develop operational processes and policies

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of data visualization and reports tools experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Tableau or equivalent tools experience

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
