PDMs are responsible for developing, managing and driving partner sales with Consulting and Technology partners. They do this through
1) Working with cross functional teams to create and execute on strategic business plans, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and marketing, to deliver against partner goals
2) Driving partner sales revenue through regular partner pipeline, opportunity registration and business reviews to manage progress against a business plan
3) Evangelizing a partner’s value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers
4) Driving solutions, APN Program attainment, continuous enablement through training and certifications and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expansion of their footprint
5) Acting as the owner of internal Partner Operations Management (AWS contracts, APN maintenance/troubleshooting, etc) and
6) Establishing AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud provider.
As a Partner Development Manager within AWS, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on strategies to build mind share and broad use of AWS' services and solutions with our key strategic partners in country and region wide.
Your broad responsibilities will include helping to define and execute against the partner program, establishing business and technical relationships, collaborating with a team of regional Partner Development Managers, Specialized Partner Managers, local Partner Sales Managers, and managing the day-to-day interactions with AWS Sales Teams in order to build long-term business and marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess both sales and channel background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CXO/VP level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Philippines Partner team to contribute in driving the overall AWS partner strategy
Have a broad-based understanding of cloud technologies
Develop a group of committed partners including a plan to recruit, on-board, educate and measure their success
Develop and execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, legal, support, etc.).
Work with specific prospects/partners to develop the business value proposition for using our services and solutions for the specific prospects/partners; educate and enable them for using AWS solutions
Establish the business development pipeline by engaging with prospects and key customers
Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress against budgeted plan and any potential roadblocks to closing new customers
Manage complex contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group
Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of the AWS country strategy

Training to build and maintain knowledge
Writing at Amazon - Monthly/Quarterly Business Review input, narratives (where applicable)

Basic Qualifications
10+ years in partner sales and/or alliance development in the software/technology industry
Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and familiarity with decision making processes in enterprise customers
Demonstrated experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams including direct and channel marketing, solution architect teams, product management and account management teams
Experience working with partners through account management, product management, program management and business development engagements
Verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in program development for a global technology company
Direct experience working with AWS consulting and/or technology partners
Developed and operated global partner programs
Advanced understanding of AWS, cloud architecture and infrastructure
Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences and organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to set clear priorities in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
