OVERALL ROLE
To achieve excellence in preventative and reactive maintenance programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative maintenance techniques and statutory and contractual compliance. Oversee the management and control of all plant, mechanical and electrical systems and to co-ordinate remedial action with the Engineering Shift in the event of Business-Critical failures. To provide leadership and direction to a multi skilled building services engineering and fabric maintenance team made up of directly employed staff and appointed vendors. Ensure that all staff and vendors employed within the client’s facilities strictly adhere to client and CBRE policies and procedures. Act as point of escalation for critical failures to assist the technical team to make safe, identify, analyze, rectify and report improvements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations and Maintenance – Provide direction and leadership of the site Building Services maintenance teams, including effective hiring, motivation, development, training and discipline of the site maintenance organization
Monitor workload / resources and make timely recommendations for change.
Develop and deliver effective maintenance plans that achieve the following key objectives
Balanced in terms of managing risk, expenditure and asset protection;
Provide a safe and comfortable working environment for all occupants;
Focus on business risk;
Compliant with all statutory requirements;
Considers industry best practice
Plan, assign and supervise planned and reactive activities utilizing CFIMS system
To perform additional tasks as required by the Senior/Assistant Facilities Manage
Provides advice and consultation to operate the client’s facilities with regard to facilities engineering matters
To check on site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion, quality and method of working for compliance with specification and ordinance requirements
Monitor, measure and report upon the performance of all specialist contractors in terms of their ability to carry out the work against the agreed contractual budget
Co-ordinate meetings periodically with contractors to ensure that required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when, or if performance falls below expectations
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Must be a LICENSED ENGINEER (Mechanical or Electrical)
At least 3 years as facility or technical engineer handling telecom, data center, and or commercial and industrial facilities
Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands
Critical Systems Management experience
Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
Good communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English
Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems
Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives highly desirable
Proven team leadership skills
Willing to be assigned in anywhere within NCR
