City of Tacoma WA Tax & License Audit & Compliance Manager - Financial Manager in Tacoma, Washington

Position Description This recruitment has been extended until 8/16/2021. The City of Tacoma's Finance Department is seeking a manager, within the Tax & License Division, to lead and manage the City’s Business & Occupation (B&O) tax auditing program and Tax & License Compliance Officers. This position will oversee and review complex audits and investigations conducted by the audit staff and assess situations involving non-compliant businesses to determine next steps. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a diverse staff and be able to maintain and grow relationships both within and external to the city. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree with specialization in accounting, business or finance, three years of experience in professional accounting and two years supervisory experience.
