Description This role is a non-exempt full-time Monday - Friday - 40 Hours Weekly Salary Range: \$28.50/hr to \$40.00/hr Duties and Responsibilities Lead and drive the Safety Action Item List program by reviewing and collecting suggestion information, presenting the information to managers and directors, following up with associates to make sure items are completed, and making decisions on completion or closure of action items. Analyze the SAIL program for completion rates and opportunities for implementation. Collect feedback from associates and supervisors through in person discussion, SAIL cards and emails to determine appropriate solutions for safety-related issues. Implement or assist in implementing the solutions. Develop, analyze and present data to determine safety trends and support safety initiatives. Review and assemble data to produce matrixes and charts for evaluation of the biannual safety survey. Track and organize incident data to identify trends and potential areas of risk. Track safety metrics and the status of safety projects and goals. Develop testing and training for associates on safety topics. Set up training with employee for compliance and maintain training documents. Provide communication and guidance, including hands on training, of requirements and/or changes of the safety program to all associates, contractors and vendors. Includes developing postings and audio / visual media and performing one on one and group trainings. Maintain and update safety policies, procedures and process safety management documents. Work with the safety team with goal development strategy for safety, planning and implementation of programs in support yearly company goals. Analyze data to support the developed goals. Conduct on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices. Clarify safety rules and provide technical expertise and solutions to safety challenges on site. Provide a high level of customer service to internal customers. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Skills and Specifications Knowledge of internal environmental, health and safety policies. Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to design, deliver, and communicate training, rules and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, required. Ability to self-motivate and take initiative. Knowledge of record keeping techniques and procedures. Ability to work well as part of a team with diverse personalities and cultures. Strong organizational skills. Able to maintain confidentiality. Education and Qualifications Three years to five years of similar or related experience preferred. A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by equipment vendors, or job specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are occasional. Vision requires the adjustment and focus of sight.
