Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This position involves using a hyster sit-down forklift to stock the warehouse with building products. The ideal candidate will have sit-down forklift experience and heavy RF experience. Combilift experience is heavily preferred. Military experience and a consistent work history are also advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hyster sit-down forklift to stock the warehouse

• Replenish dedicated locations using RF scanners

• Pull orders and perform general labor tasks

• Work independently in different areas of the warehouse

• Use a pallet jack frequently, primarily in outdoor covered areas

Essential Skills

• Sit-down forklift experience

• Heavy RF experience

• High School diploma or GED

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions

• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form

• Ability to perform all job functions safely

• Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds

• 1 year of related warehouse experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Combilift experience

• Military experience preferred

• Consistent work history

Work Environment

The work environment can be a bit noisy in the door shop but is clean. The warehouse has areas that are colder due to fewer people working there. The job requires steel-toed boots and operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with no overtime for temporary employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
