Forklift Operator
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This position involves using a hyster sit-down forklift to stock the warehouse with building products. The ideal candidate will have sit-down forklift experience and heavy RF experience. Combilift experience is heavily preferred. Military experience and a consistent work history are also advantageous.
Responsibilities
Operate a hyster sit-down forklift to stock the warehouse
Replenish dedicated locations using RF scanners
Pull orders and perform general labor tasks
Work independently in different areas of the warehouse
Use a pallet jack frequently, primarily in outdoor covered areas
Essential Skills
Sit-down forklift experience
Heavy RF experience
High School diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to perform all job functions safely
Ability to regularly lift/move/manipulate up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
1 year of related warehouse experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Combilift experience
Military experience preferred
Consistent work history

Work Environment
The work environment can be a bit noisy in the door shop but is clean. The warehouse has areas that are colder due to fewer people working there. The job requires steel-toed boots and operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with no overtime for temporary employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
