About the Role

We are looking for someone with a strong background in overall system testing and also good knowledge of any testing framework for automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing automated tests for API endpoints, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data exchange between systems. The candidate should also have enough SQL knowledge to verify against the DB sources. You will work within our agile software development process, to guarantee the seamless integration and data quality of our API-driven applications.

This is a remote 1-year contract-based role.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience

    Required skills/Competencies

  • Minimum 3 years of Performance Testing and Engineering experience including hands-on technical skills and experience in developing performance testing strategies, performance testing processes and methodologies.

  • At least 3 years of experience with SQL.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving with meticulous attention to data accuracy and integrity. 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

  • Proven experience, as a QA engineer with a focus on API testing. 

  • Proficient knowledge of system automation.

  • History of continually learning and adapting to the latest trends and technology.

  • Worked with CI/CD pipeline

  • In-depth understanding of REST/GraphQL API concepts, testing methodologies and data integrity best practices.

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases based on project requirements.

  • Conduct manual testing to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools.

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using at least one programming language.

  • Implement automated testing with tools like Cypress and Selenium.

  • Manage and track defects using platforms such as TestRail, BrowserStack , and JIRA .

  • Perform API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or Insomnia.

  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Jenkins.

  • Utilize version control systems, such as Git, to manage test scripts and related artifacts.

  • Apply knowledge of database fundamentals to perform simple SQL or NoSQL queries (a plus).

  • Contribute to performance testing efforts using tools such as Apache JMeter (a plus).

  • Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and collaborate effectively within an agile environment.

  • Communicate test results, issues, and concerns clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular regression testing and sanity tests across multiple platforms and environments.
