Description and Requirements
The SME advises customers, partners, and channel partners on building complex strategic solutions. The SME acts as a conduit between field sales, field systems engineering teams, and Veeam/Lenovo cross functional product groups, and this senior technical sales role is heavily involved in guiding Lenovo sales teams in including data management in current hardware solutions. The SME also serves as an escalation point for partner solutions and sales teams, as well as the Pre-Sales Organization.
Subject Matter Expert in Data Management with emphasis on Veeam, with a deep understanding of Veeam products & technologies and/or similar technologies
Serve as the technical sales subject matter expert (SME) and technical escalation point across field sellers.
Formulate Veeam strategies to integrate product into complex customer / partner environments (use cases).
Work with GEO sales and technical leadership to train field resources on approved solutions with both new and existing products.
Work with product and alliance management for any customer and/or partner requirements for Veeam and Lenovo products.
Enable the global field (primarily field sales and SEs) by providing on-going consultation, knowledge transfer, and best practices, and support competitive positioning.
Provide insight to current trends and competitive challenges. Translate complex technical concepts into business terms that result in solution selling and pipeline. Make recommendations to capture share and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Maintain deep technical expertise in data management.
Identify new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking, and lead-gen activities.
Manage pipeline, coordinate engagement on key opportunities, and maintain visibility into joint Lenovo/Veeam opportunities (Deal Reg).
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Additional Job Description
Previous sales or pre-sales experience interacting with technology partners or strategic customers
Advanced skills in Enterprise Datacenter Infrastructure designs and technologies (storage, virtualization, networking)
Demonstrated experience working with cloud and/or virtualization infrastructure technologies directly, including integration APIs, hypervisor storage, and data protection APIs
Hands-on knowledge of data protection & disaster recovery technologies
Experience in product or infrastructure design work
Experience in deployment of software solutions into complex environments
Prior experience with Veeam products preferred, VMCE highly beneficial
Relevant industry certifications highly desired
Bachelor’s degree, with at least 10 years related experience or equivalent.
Advanced English, fluent in Spanish.
Presentation and negotiation skills
