Sustainability Analyst

Job Overview

The successful candidate has a passion for sustainability and very good communication skills. She/he will support the deployment of the TE sustainability strategy and help to calculate Product Carbon Footprint, implement green programs, efficient/timely use of a range of internal reporting tools to improve circularity within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Detailed Product Carbon Footprint calculation for existing products

  • Detailed comparative PCF studies with engineers (existing product vs improved product)

  • PCF automation for customer requests

  • Maintaining Life Cycle Assessment database (working with metal and resin team, other EFs from various sources and data gathering for predefined process templates)

  • LCA-PCF workstream project – support cross BU team to popularize LCA/PCF topic across different departments

  • Support different departments and customers regarding various requests about sustainability topic

  • Manage Sustainability data sets, including Key Performance Indicators, baselines, targets, etc. to drive improvement programs around Sustainability topics, such as but not limited to, climate change, energy efficiency, waste, water resources, transportation, Product life cycle, into TE Energy Business Unit.

  • Develop reporting tools in collaboration with relevant TE Business functions to facilitate the integration of Sustainability data into business reporting, data systems by which leadership may assess performance

  • Support in creating platforms to help communicate information to TE organisation and business partners by modelling qualitative and quantitative environmental, social, reporting related data reflective of current and future materials, products, or emission footprints

  • Translate complex reporting/data requirements into effective business solutions

  • Serve internal customers with reports regarding compliance metrics

  • Present to executive leadership summaries on open issues and projects including action plans and timelines for completion

  • Maintain monthly reports accuracy

  • Develop new dashboards for all KPIs on plant level and help to maintain web-based tools for team members, including supplier-facing tools

  • Conduct data analysis including performance analysis, risk assessments, strategy KPI analysis, facility environmental impact analysis, and deep dive to provide root cause of issues

  • Other reporting and tracking project on demand

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental / Sustainability sciences

  • Life Cycle Assessment/Product Carbon Footprint specialization would be an advantage

  • Preferably previous experience of 2+yr in Environmental / Sustainability related positions (LCA/PCF analyst would be an advantage)

  • Experience in working with different LCA software (iPoint Umberto, OpanLCA)

  • Advanced knowledge in LCA/PCF topic

  • Expert level with Excel

  • Excellent project management, problem-solving skills, data analytical and financial skills, and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze, organize, and integrate large amounts of complex data into clear and concise reports

  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams

  • Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint

  • Fluent in English
