Learn more about our exciting projects at Cryomech.comAs we settle into our brand-new building, we are growing our team to add capacity and meet the increased volume of customer orders.Position SummaryListed work hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pmThis position exists to product prototype parts to prove new concepts and theories for new cryogenic products or component parts and tooling for this environment. This position will be responsible for the machining and finishing of intricate parts and must have the ability to machine parts from drawing or sketch.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStudies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or verbal descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate partsSets up and operates manual machines and machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications to maintain precise tolerances in all parts produced.Performs hand/bench work as needed to complete productCreates necessary tooling to meet special manufacturing or R&D requirementsModifies existing parts per instructionsMeets deadlines as required by customers and is flexible with assignments as needed by departmentsPerforms housekeeping duties including preventative maintenance and repair of manual production machines according to schedules and exceptional needsAdheres to quality and safety standards as required by Cryomech in regard to all equipment, supplies and productsMaintains appropriate recordsOther duties as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED);Five or more years experience in a job shop atmosphere or equivalent is preferredExperience machining various metals and materials, such as copper and stainless steel if preferredAbility to read and understand mechanical drawings, and operating, training and safety manuals, documents and forms.Ability to use and understand standard measuring tools/devices.Employee BenefitsCryomech offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, long and short-term disability, life, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), training, tuition reimbursement, and Paid Time Off (PTO).This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.Cryomech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
