LOCATION/UNIT: Business Office - Mailroom

TITLE/SALARY GRADE: Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail, SG-6

DURATION: Temporary - full time

SALARY: $16.36 Hourly l (NOTE: current or reconstructed salary for state employees in accordance with NYS Audit and Control

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Receive, pick up, store and distribute goods, materials, and equipment which may require the use of warehouse equipment, forklifts, vans and trucks. Load, unload and physically handle equipment, furniture, supplies etc. Pick up, process and deliver campus mail; domestic, international, accountable, presorted and bulk mail. Input data, maintain, balance and reconcile records and accounts. Responsible for stocking of central receiving supplies. Assist in providing coverage for Mail room Services.

Job Requirements:

OPERATIONAL NEEDS: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: : Must be reachable on current Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail, SG-06 list or currently hold the title of Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail, SG-06 or a title from which transfer is appropriate. New York State Driver's license required. Ability to routinely lift and/or carry heavy items, use a forklift and the ability to routinely reach, bend, stand, and walk for long periods of time.

This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by SUNY-ESF; and on property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, and other matters.
