Syracuse University Part-Time Faculty: DES 400 Inclusive Design Intelligence+ (Spring 2025) in Syracuse, New York
The School of Design within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach DES 400 Inclusive Design Intelligence+, a three credit hour course, during the Spring semester 2025.
The goal of this class is to take a user-centered design approach to addressing multiple facets of Intellectual Disability. Working as part of a team of students and faculty mentors from across our campus, students gain empathy and insights through a series of immersive experiences over the course of the semester, exploring challenges and opportunities related to this over-arching topic. As an incubator for innovation, the class will center on envisioning, prototyping, and testing ideas that will have a lasting "quality of life" impact on intellectually disabled members of our local and global community.
