Eaton Corporation Order Management Representative in Syracuse, New York
Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking an Order Management Representative. This role is based at the Syracuse, NY site.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $55125.0 - $80850.0 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Order Management Representative is accountable to provide technical, order status, price information and sales support on Eaton Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas products to the distributors, contractors, end users, field sales organization, and internal customers to help ensure that order objectives for the company are met. This role focuses on advanced analytics and process improvement in the areas of transaction processing.
You will effectively service orders to meet customer requirements, including expediting, assessing, improving and coordinating the scheduling of shortages. You will collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Order Processing, Quality Control, Production Planning, Materials Procurement, invoicing, various plants/distribution centers, Field Sales and Logistics for necessary assistance in achieving desired service levels. This role requires quick, independent thinking and tactful behavior when dealing with customers and distributors.
In this function you will:
Serve as the initial escalation point for transaction processing and order entry representatives regarding issue resolution.
Analyze, prioritize, respond to, improve, expedite, coordinate and schedule customer’s requests and orders to effectively service customer and distributor requirements for designated geographic regions.
Prepare detailed ongoing statistical analysis with respect to customer deliveries, schedule performance, workload reviews, customer complaints etc. so that trends may be identified, and corrective action taken as necessary.
Conduct product training process training for transaction processing representatives.
Serve as the subject matter expert and key contact point for either front-end or back-end transaction processing. Such items may include new item order processing, SAP and warehouse management system interfacing, root cause resolution of order delays/errors, and creating methods to standardize transactional processes.
Implement Total Quality Concept with Eaton Crouse-Hinds, B-Line Sales Service to effectively accomplish departmental goals of satisfying customer’s need and continuous improvement.
Establish and maintain distributor, end user, other Eaton divisions and field sales confidence and enhance Eaton image by developing a trusting, reliable relationship through quality customer service.
Work autonomously to identify and act upon opportunities for orders and specifications and communicate information to field sales representatives to help maximize orders.
Recommend products to meet applicable specifications and customer requirements and identify available alternatives as applicable.
Keep current on Eaton Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas products and services and industry standards (both foreign and domestic) to provide accurate and timely response to inquiries and on all technical advances in business including computing, e-commerce and database management.
Identify process improvement and serve as project leader on the deployment of global standardization initiatives.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum four (4) years of experience in customer service
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering Management
Experience with SAP, SharePoint, and case management software
Excellent Project Management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work well with people across multiple functions and cultures
Strong communication and presentation skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and databases
