POSITION SUMMARY:

Receives, stores and distributes all supplies. Ensures the clean and orderly maintenance of all receiving and storage areas and the

accurate and timely handling of all division supplies.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school diploma or equivalent. Prior receiving/distribution experience preferred.

Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of

expertise.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be in good mental and physical shape; should have basic accounting skills and understanding of safety and sanitation principles.

Requires good interpersonal skills and some mechanical aptitude. May be required to operate power lift. Ability to work accurately

and handle pressure.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Clinical; industrial setting. Exposure class II. No exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. Exposure to temperature

extremes, and hazardous footing. Handles caustic and heavy items.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Heavy work. Heavy reaching, lifting and stooping. Required to be on feet most of the time.

All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, various regulatory and professional agencies.

Expectations

Exceeds Meet Below

· Counts stock for inventory and user areas.

· Delivers and “puts away” goods in a timely manner for inventory

and user areas.

· Fills requisitions and completes paperwork.

· Processes stock and non-stock returns.

· Prepares goods for shipping and obtains carrier’s signature.

· Ensures the safety and security of goods in storage and in transit.

· Checks expiration dates and rotates stock.

· Participates in the physical inventory process.

· Unloads trucks, inspects goods for damage/defects and signs carrier’s

receipt.

· Operates manual/power pallet jacks and dock levelers.

· Verifies goods received are those ordered.

· Enters receiving/issuing information into the computer.

· Places calls for service on defective or malfunctioning equipment.

· Coordinates supplies and duties for the volunteers.

· Handles in-person and telephone inquiries.

· Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement.

Pay Range $18.50-$26.85 depending on location and experienc
