Lab Technician

Job Description

Perform laboratory/quality functions by testing, collecting data, and analyzing findings on raw materials. Comply with NY State Ag & Markets, FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements as directed under standard methods for laboratory procedures. Responsible for Milk Testing, Product Sample Testing, Powder Testing, Full Silo Batch Testing, and Bacteria Testing. This position requires working the night shift.

Hard Skills

• BS Degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred, not required with relevant experience

• Lab instrumentation experience required

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

A strategic milk protein manufacturer located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, an area rich with natural resources and conditions ideal for raising dairy cows to ensure a consistent, stable milk supply. All farmer-owners are within 40 miles of the manufacturing facility, which allows fast, functional processing for the freshest, premium ingredients possible.
