National Grid's Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a year-long development program for recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates will shape the future of National Grid. Bringing fresh thinking, new perspectives, and exploring with energy, we'll give you real responsibility and an opportunity to move with purpose from day one - putting the power to supercharge your career in your hands.

Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 3-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.

About the Position

As an Associate Analyst, you will focus on supporting the design and development of strategy, programs and partnerships for income eligible programs and services which may include energy efficiency programs and bill assistance for New York and Massachusetts. The role will focus on efforts to optimize Low-and - Moderate Income (LMI) customers product offerings in support of achieving regulatory and company targets, increase customer participation and satisfaction as we strive toward a clean, fair, and affordable energy future.

This is a hybrid role with flexible days in the office based on collaboration, meetings, and trainings.

What You'll Do
  • Program and Project Management Support - Support the management of the suite of income eligible energy efficiency and bill assistance programs from ideation to development to implementation including strategy, design and continuous improvement. Support the optimization of LMI product and service development to support regulatory requirements, meet compliance obligations, as well as contribute to the growth of the programs/products to increase customer participation and satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Coordinate and collaborate with key external stakeholders, such as: NY & MA State regulators, and other energy efficiency program administrators and state agencies, as well as LMI stakeholders to increase opportunities with new and existing customers. Collaborate and communicate with internal partners such as Procurement, Legal, Regulatory, and Marketing, on LMI programs and offerings.
  • Program Performance Support - Support the team with documenting programs and key processes, tracking metrics and KPIs, reporting and organizing team site to create efficiencies in team ways of working.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, social sciences, or energy/sustainability related fieldfrom an accredited institution
  • Graduated between May 2024 and June 2025

  • Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 2, 2025 or July 7, 2025

  • Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy

  • Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

It would be awesome if you had
  • Knowledge of the clean energy industry, utility operations, LMI customer needs, energy legislation
  • Experience with developing presentations and effectively presenting information
  • Experience managing projects and qualitative or quantitative analysis

Salary Range
Syracuse, New York $64,000 - $75,000 a year


Please note US Colleagues must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont. As a National Grid employee, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
