Chief Growth Officer
The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) will be an enthusiastic, visionary professional that acts as the driver of the C&S Companies national growth strategy. The purpose of the role is to assemble, organize, lead, develop and inspire the business development and marketing talent and engage with and support the seller-doers and business unit leaders of the enterprise. CGO direct reports will include senior business development staff as well as the Director of Marketing. The position is both strategic and tactical. The CGO will play a key role in developing and executing the strategy for further developing C&S Companies into a national brand. The role will also include tactical tasks to 1) maintain the exceptional reputation that C&S has with the clients we serve, 2) identification and pursuit of new business opportunities in existing and future locations, and 3) exploration and development of new geographic locations for C&S offices. The CGO reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following however, additional duties may be assigned by the CEO at any time:
Think strategically about the growth of the enterprise, coordinate ideas with the team, and take action toward implementation
Work with CEO and other senior leaders to formulate and execute key business development and marketing strategic initiatives to achieve the vision for the future of C&S Companies
Lead and develop the business development and marketing teams
Engage in associations and organizations related to the role and the industry and represent C&S at appropriate conferences
Conduct and/or support market research to inform the growth of the enterprise
Lead and/or support efforts to further the C&S brand
Engage in and support strategic opportunity pursuits
Conduct client feedback efforts and determine any improvements necessary in the delivery of our services
Provide instructional programs to C&S teammates to enhance business development and opportunity pursuit skills
Monitor key growth indicators and be accountable for achieving defined targets
Support C&S’s digital media presence (web site, social media, etc.)
Lead efforts to build and enhance the visibility of C&S in the communities that we serve
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Requires exceptional organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills to aid in day-to-day activities.
Self-motivated.
Ability to set and meet individual deadlines.
Possesses highly developed skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is preferred with at least 10 years of experience in the field or related area.
Prior experience in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry is preferred.
Significant overnight travel is required to support our national practice.
Estimated Compensation Range: $180,000 – 200,000/year*
*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
