NYS Unified Court System Assistant Court Analyst in Syracuse, New York
QUALIFICATIONS: One year in the Junior Court Analyst title; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or High School Diploma or the equivalent and four (4) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK: Assistant Court Analysts provide professional level assistance to Court Analysts andhigher-level personnel in the Analyst Series in projects involving personnel administration, resource allocation, budget developmentand court finance, administration and policy formation. They may perform as part of a project team where they may be assigned entering level professional tasks which, under supervision of a Court Analyst or Senior Court Analyst, are designed to enhance the professional growth of the employee.ASSIGNMENT: This position will be based in the Help Center located in the Syracuse Law Library at the Onondaga County Courthouse. Candidates with knowledge of City Court and Family Court operations are encouraged to apply. This position will work primarily with the Help Center public facing users. Duties include but are not limited to assisting and directing the public to appropriate legal forms and research databases available for various types of court proceedings; assisting in organizing andanalyzing data collected relating to the Help Center; and other duties as assigned. This position may also be trained to answer theState-wide 1-800 Court help line.
