Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Asset Management industry, located in Syracuse, New York. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting operations, with a focus on processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving discrepancies. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and process check payments for both existing and new projects.

• Manage the transfer of invoices and purchase orders to accounts payable, ensuring accurate data input.

• Verify federal id numbers for new vendors and assist in the resolution of payment discrepancies.

• Organize invoices for funding draw requests for specific projects and prepare revenue billing invoices for clients' customers.

• Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accurate payment received and posting to customer's account.

• Monitor aged Accounts Receivable reports and facilitate prompt payment of customer invoices.

• Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and other client billing issues.

• Perform other basic accounting functions as assigned.

• Provide phone coverage, respond to inquiries, and accurately record messages.

• Coordinate and schedule meetings and conferences, both internally and outside the main office.

• Maintain office and general supplies and assist with daily call and delivery activities as required to support the office. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting

• Skills in Auditing

• Ability to use Automated Clearing House (ACH)

• Proficiency in MS Great Plains Dynamics
