This Senior Manager, EHR Connectivity Development position works out of the Sylmar, CA, location in the Medical Devices Digital Solutions organization and reports to the Head of Technology, Digital Solutions.

The Senior Manager, EHR Connectivity Development role will lead and manage an EHR Connectivity Development team focused on developing scalable and seamless interoperability solutions between Abbott Medical Device platforms and our customer's EHRs. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring all EHR Connectivity development projects are appropriately prioritized and implemented on schedule and with high quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with the Head of Technology to ensure the EHR Connectivity Development team is aligned with the Digital Solutions group's overall strategies and objectives.

  • Lead and manage the EHR Connectivity Development Team, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure business needs are being met.

  • Prioritize incoming projects to manage workloads amongst the team.

  • Ensure all projects are developed on schedule and executed with high quality.

  • Communicate effectively with employees, stakeholders, and customers, both verbally and in writing.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring all expenditures are justified and aligned with business goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Develop and foster a collaborative, open, and outcome-driven team culture.

  • Develop and foster close collaborations and relationships with EHR Connectivity Ops and Product-focused AI teams within the Technology organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field.

  • Prior experience in either the HealthTech or MedTech field.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a management role with proven track record of successful leadership and team management.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with various EHR's in the space today such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.

  • Prior experience or exposure to Healthcare Interoperability Data Standards and Protocols.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling principles.

  • Significant experience working with agile software development methods, such as scrum and Kanban and exposure to deployment of CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience incorporating Security by Design principles into product development.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) is preferred.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • ·Solid understanding of the design thinking process, as well as a passion and know-how for influencing design strategy.

The base pay for this position is $144,100.00 – $288,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
