About the role:

In your role as Associate, you will play an important role in the Sydney based Securitisation team within Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB).

Your primary responsibility will be to support the Managing Director, Head of Securitisation Oceania, and boarder team in marketing and managing the Securitisation product in Oceania.

What you’ll be doing:

Support the marketing and execution of Securitisation transactions and other solution based financings in Oceania. Based in Sydney, this will involve:

  • Assisting in the execution of a robust product business plan with the Managing Director, Head of Securitisation Oceania that will drive accretive outcomes and business growth

  • Support and enhance customer experience and outcomes

  • Establish and build relationships with internal and external stakeholder, particularly Operations and regional members of AIBD-SEC

  • Analyse, present and report on existing and new transactions from a risk / credit perspective to ensure transparency in portfolio development and management.

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years experience within banking or finance, preferably with 1+ years' experience in Securitisation and / or Structured Finance

  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential

  • Developing working knowledge of securitisation with one or more asset class experiences (e.g., credit cards, residential mortgages, auto receivables).

  • Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products

  • Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets

  • Be able to engage in independent research and analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail

  • The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally

  • Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills

  • Is a team player

  • Is a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasm

  • Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills

  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders
