Amazon Sr. Contract Specialist, AFX - BPO - Contract Ops - PDCO in Sydney, Australia

AWS’ growth is driving a rapid expansion of its contract operations team and has the need for a detailed, process orientated individual who will support contract onboarding for our private pricing customers. This will include managing multiple defined processes, ensuring data integrity within our systems, and communicating frequently with various teams. The successful candidate must be a strong communicator, be detail oriented, have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic, quickly changing environment.

Private pricing contracts help deliver business value by ensuring all custom terms are captured and documented appropriately. This is a wonderful opportunity to help build a process to better service our customers while ensuring all private pricing contracts are operationalized efficiently and accurately.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the process of drafting and onboarding partner agreements, facilitating communication between key stakeholders, and implementation of agreements into contract management systems.

  • Act as a resource for in-house reporting including operational volume forecasts, pipeline summaries, and metric tracking

  • Actively participate in and drive process and system improvements

  • Proactively identify and implement data improvements, enhancements, and system customization that meet business requirements

  • Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, Salesforce.com, and other data management/BI systems

  • Proactively identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements, and system customization that meet business requirements

  • Communicate effectively across all related channels to ensure transparency of process

  • Stakeholder communication and change management

  • Train and support junior specialists in complex and escalated cases.

A day in the life

BPO's Contract Operations (CO) team (formerly known as Private Deal Contract Operations (PDCO)) is a global team with resources in the United States (Seattle, Dallas), APAC (Sydney) and EMEA (Dublin). The BPO Contract Operations team is responsible for drafting and operations activities related to Support Private Pricing Addenda (PPA), AWS Managed Services (AMS) Addenda, Solution Provider Addenda (SPA), and Sponsorship agreements as well as AWS Support enablement for Cross-Service PPAs for all regions, except the Greater China Region. We support the creation of Support and AMS Private Pricing and Solution Provider Addenda and are responsible for shepherding deals through the firm’s approvals processes. Our primary stakeholders are within the AWS Support Business, Legal and Finance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
