    Placement Manager, Global and Corporate

    The Broking team, a core business unit within Aon Risk Solutions, is currently seeking a Placement Manager to support our Global and Corporate accounts.

    This role requires the placement of insurance in the Australian market as well as through international channels. You will be involved in the design and placement of property and liability placements of our larger clients and play a key role in market and client engagement and advising internal key stakeholders on pricing and placement strategy.

    The Placement Manager role sits within Commercial Risk, Australia, reporting to the Head of Placement , Global & Corporate. Responsibilities include -

  • Program design for complex placements and strategic Account Manager on nominated accounts across Global and Corporate

  • Supporting the broader placement team in an overarching risk transfer strategy and execution across all product lines

  • Providing technical advice and direction to the Global & Corporate segment with appropriate market solutions

  • Advising on strategy and tactics to ensure we achieve set goals around revenue, margin and client satisfaction scores

  • Establish strong relationships and negotiate insurance contracts with underwriters principally in the Australian, Asian and London markets

  • Conducting negotiations with underwriters and executives within our carrier partners

  • Create and share insights with clients, carriers and colleagues from Aon’s data & analytics platforms

  • Providing technical advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders on products and program structures

  • Support the client management teams around retention of key accounts

  • Provide support to the Bid Management team around tender responses

    As we look to continue the investment into our Placement Team, a core business unit within Commercial Risk Solutions at Aon, we are currently seeking a Placement Manager who will predominantly focus on risks emanating from our large client business - Global & Corporate.

    This role requires the strategy design and negotiation of insurance in the Australian market as well as through our Global Broking Centres of Singapore, London and Bermuda.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Involved in the design and placement of the risk transfer solutions of our larger clients, you’ll play a key role in market and client engagement as well as advising internal key stakeholders on placement strategy to suit their clients’ needs across a broad industry and product base. Negotiation, influence and relationship management capabilities are vital for this role.

    This position will suit someone with the following experience:

  • An in-depth understanding of all commercial products and policy wordings, with a particular focus on Property

  • Exposure to Captive structures and complex placements, as well as good knowledge of the International hubs of London and Singapore

  • Experience drafting, interpreting and negotiating policy wordings

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with proven negotiation and conflict resolutions skills

  • Management and strategic leadership skills

  • Well-developed communication & presentation skills with a highly analytical nature

  • Ability to interpret data and make recommendations on solutions that are consistent with the goals set
