The Role

Working with one of our flagship Global Finance clients at their brand new Sydney CBD site with recently completed DLP on 3 state of the art office floors, you will oversee all critical systems and compliance, triage incidents as a first responder, and play an active role in sustainability and end of lifecycle projects going into 2025.

Reporting to the Engineering Lead and with the support of a wider Property & FM team on the account, this is an integral, hands-on role to ensure smooth BAU practices and ongoing success with their new building operations.

Based in Sydney CBD.

A typical day may involve:

  • Ensuring efficient and reliable operations of building functions across the site in accordance with agreed performance measures.

  • Inspecting fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical services to identify potential hazards.

  • Responding to incidents in a hands-on manner, and recommending best course of action.

  • Overseeing and inspecting work performed by external contractors, whilst minimising business interruption.

  • Performing simple repairs, corrective and preventative work where appropriate.

  • Completing related admin i.e. work order management, performance reports and invoicing.

  • Articulating complex Engineering problems and corrective actions in a manner that can be understood by non-Engineering teams.

  • Collaborating with wider teams on sustainability projects and end-of-life cycle initiatives, including maintaining an energy management program.

  • Providing estimates on timelines and materials needed to complete repairs.

  • Responding to emergency situations where necessary.

Requirements

  • (ESSENTIAL) - Strong technical background and hands-on experience with Building Engineering systems.

  • (ESSENTIAL) -

  • (PREFERRED) – Mechanical Engineering / Building Services degree qualified.

  • (PREFERRED) – Experience within an A-grade premium building and complex state-of-the-art building systems.

  • Innovative mentality to look beyond existing solutions.

  • Excellent relationship and people management skills.

  • High level proficiency with MS Office Suite.
