About the role:

Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking (JCIB) Department provides banking and financial services to support businesses of Japanese companies operating in Oceania.

Our customer relationship is typically a part of global relationship network originated in Japan. We provide our services to our customers not only to achieve their business goals in domestic markets but also to help integrate in their global growth.

Our service includes lending, deposit, FX and other market and derivative products, banking transactions using an online platform, asset managements and import/export finance.

In your role as Analyst, you will support JCIB strategy planning and implementation in alignment with business objectives and development aspirations, support arrangements on global and regional management stakeholder engagement, whilst structuring business enhancement plans and delivery with strong analytical skills. Overall, targeting the entire team’s engagement and upskilling for sustainable growth and progressing business drive.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Business strategy planning and management, and assist with any other business tasks

  • Facilitate and demonstrate good communication practices across the team including management of content and flow of information to and from management teams

  • Presentation preparation and documentation

  • Define problems and opportunities, develop solutions, and identify opportunities

  • Business analysis with specific focus on data and reporting such as BSC, KPI, business projects

  • Assist with the management to provide reporting and other support to track initiatives against the plan to ensure that business and customer outcome are realised

  • Liaise with regional partners and external stakeholders as a primary contact in addition to regional head quarter, primary office in Tokyo

  • Any other administrate duties requested by management

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in business management in Corporate Finance or Chartered Accounting environment is desired

  • Sound analytical skills including data extraction, analysis and presentation skills are essential

  • Good communication skills to report the state of financial condition using clear and precise descriptions

  • Strong negotiation / coordination, and networking skills

  • Strategic thinking and insights, interpersonal skills to identify issues and propose solutions

  • MS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and Powerpoint

  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence others

  • Fluent Japanese speaker (desirable)
