Microsoft 365 (M365) provides the world’s leading modern workspace cloud services, empower communication, collaboration, productivity, and is entrusted by hundreds of millions of users in both worldwide and sovereign clouds.

The M365 Sovereign Fleet team is to develop buildout automation solution for M365 services in sovereign clouds, which have limited networking connection and higher security guarantees. The team owns many M365 services buildout, automation platform development, buildout status visualization, etc.

As a team member of the M365 Sovereign Fleet team, you will be responsible developing new features to support M365 service buildout in sovereign clouds, improving performance and improving the developer experience using team's automation platform and dashboard. Your responsibility will be to analyze, design and implement improvements to implement new features while reducing buildout time and complexity and drive those changes across a big product group.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software components, services, systems, and features in large scale, distributed cloud environment.

• Work with peer engineers, partner teams and program managers across US/India and China to deliver cutting edge cloud technology.

• Resolve problems of any scope and aid other team members on a consistent basis.

• Lead the way with impactful feedback to peers during code reviews and improvements to the code review process.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, work smart, manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently in a fast-paced environment, and deliver all this at high quality.

• Good communication skills and English skills, including ability to write concise and accurate technical documentation, communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences both in Chinese and English.
