Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) have recently been recognized as a leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Desktop as a Service (DaaS). We are seeing tremendous customer pull from on premise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) customers that want to modernize and move from on-prem VDI to the cloud. Windows 365 and AVD combined are already a billion-dollar business today and we are seeing rapid growth in revenue and usage. This is one of the key horizon 2 growth areas in our Experiences and Devices (E+D) business.
As a Software Engineer II in the Windows 365 team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the data intensive, AI/ML powered solutions that will help Windows 365 and AVD customers gain the strategic insights and the most optimal intelligent experience, maximize their return of investment and reduce the total cost of ownership.
You will apply data engineering, statistics, AI/ML skills to big data problems using the latest and most modern technologies, design and develop reporting, alerting, troubleshooting, recommendations and IT Copilot features for large-scale data with AI/ML and LLM.

Responsibilities
Be part of a team of talented and motivated engineers, working collaboratively to plan, design, implement, test, and deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, efficient, testable and maintainable code, enforce best practices and quality improvements.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and technical expertise, debug and fix issues.
Monitor live services and perform service operations in production environment.
Provide support within the team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
2 years of experience with big data, AI/ML, and cloud technologies.
Familiar with coding in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Good technical design skills and proven ability to drive system designs for scenarios.
Proficiency in English, exhibiting good written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
