Philips Senior System Engineer (Pipeline) in Suzhou, China

Job title: Advanced System Engineer

Your role:

  • Product technical leadership and responsibility as part of a new product release or sustaining activities

  • Translation of user requirements, requirements management, top level design, decomposition of derived requirements

  • Feasibility of potential solutions

  • FMEA

  • Design reviews

  • System Integration coordination

  • Technical liaison to engineering

  • Defect management

  • Risk Management

  • Ensuring compliance with the product lifecycle, development procedures as well as all applicable quality, regulatory and standards requirements

  • Design for Excellence (Reliability, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Value, etc.)

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor of Science in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree in a Scientific/Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 10 + year of relevant experience in medical product engineering or in a similar field.

  • Evidence of practical knowledge of standards and regulations pertaining to the medical device industry, both domestic and international. This includes but is not limited to organizations such as FDA, IEC, ISO, CFDA, ACR, AAPM, COCIR, MITA and other directives such as RoHS and WEEE. Examples include: FDA 21CFR820.30, IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-44 and ISO 14971.

  • Proven excellence in technical leadership in a matrix environment and cross-functional team.

  • Master’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Deep insight in engineering/ architecture.

  • Knowledge and experience spanning multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical, electrical, software and systems engineering) is advantageous.

  • Prior experience as a medical device systems engineer or lead design engineer.

  • Experiences on design control and process.

  • Experiences on physics/IQ design.
