       License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia Class C driver's license required.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Five years supervisory or training experience in a related commercial or institutional custodial service environment required.Skills Qualifications: Ability to create and deliver professional learning for custodial services that supports the vision, mission, and goals of the district; Ability to provide adult instruction and training using a combination of electronic media, oral presentation, and hands-on instruction. Proficiency with programs and applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, PD On-line, Teams, Zoom, PeopleSoft and Maximo. Strong oral and written communication skills; knowledge of and ability to apply principles, concepts, and effective practices in adult education and professional learning; ability to work successfully with a variety of audiences; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; knowledge of and ability to explain the fundamental principles in cleaning efficiency, sanitary effectiveness, health benefits underlying the custodial care procedures, skills and tasks of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Custodial Care Program, and industry best practices in custodial care and sanitation; ability to positively interact with principals, administrators, teachers, students, and visitors of local schools; ability to hear, understand, and follow oral instructions given in the English language; ability to read, understand, follow, and provide written instructions in the English language at or above a high school graduate level; and ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects concurrently by established deadlines.Primary Responsibilities: Provide training, knowledge, technical expertise and administrative support to develop, maintain, implement, and improve the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives throughout local schools and support facilities.1. Provide custodial training relevant to the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives.2. Provide technical and administrative support to effectively implement the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives.3. Provide technical and administrative support to maintain the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives.4. Provide technical and administrative support to develop the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives.5. Provide technical and administrative support to improve the GCPS Custodial Care Program and related initiatives.6. Operate GCPS vehicles safely in accordance with local, state and national laws, and complete associated tasks such as fueling and checking fluids.7. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 75 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
