Job title: Production Engineer

GKN Minworth are part of the GKN Automotive global business. Our team of 30 colleagues specialise in niche driveline, motorsport and aftermarket supplies and services.

What will you be doing in this role?

Supporting the Manufacturing and Engineering design team, you’ll have key responsibilities for:

• Health and safety (of course!)

• Leading the process of manufacturing engineering from new project stage to project launch

• Identifying manufacturing needs for new products in development

• Designing new systems and processes and providing facilities & methods to ensure the cost effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones

Specific experience that will set you up for success in this role:

• A good understanding of (and focus on) Health and Safety practices

• Ability to use CAD to design processes and layouts

• Experience of FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis)

• An understanding of lean manufacturing and Business Process Improvement tools

• An ability to analyse and present data effectively

• Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance techniques
