DINGWELLS NORTH AMERICA INC Drafting Technician/ CAD Designer in SUPERIOR, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Dingwell\'s Global is currently taking applications for a Drafter / Design person for our Superior, WI manufacturing facility. Qualified candidate must have the ability to liaise with both our machining and fabrication sides of the business as well as all other inside and outside contacts. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and are familiar with machining and fabrication, we\'d like to meet you. Responsibilities: Liaise with inside and outside contacts to gather information needed to create drawings and designs as required. Research and gather information required for materials and any other additional part process requirements needed for the job. Prepare rough sketches and review them with the appropriate company team members. Create detailed drawings and designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ensure final drawings and designs comply with both internal and customer requirements and are to the quality standards expected. Assist in developing the production methods required to produce finished product. Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems. Help develop and maintain an effective and efficient drawing and design system. Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment. Confer with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems. Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems. Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components. Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment. Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines. Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Position instructions and comments onto drawings. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. Shade or color drawings to clarify and emphasize details and dimensions or eliminate background using ink, crayon, airbrush, and overlays. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of ERP systems. Ability to program CNC machines with Mastercam software. Understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T). ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills: Proven work experience as a Drafter / Designer in the manufacturing field. Hands-on experience with Solidworks CAD software. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work in a time sensitive environment, paying attention to quality and detail of the work. Good math skills. Creativity and analytical skills. Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner. Technical writing skills. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
