Amazon Sustainability Technical Program Manager, Amazon Devices Sustainability in Sunnyvale, California

In alignment with this bold corporate goal, the Amazon Devices & Services organization is hiring a Sustainability Technical Program Manager to work cross functionally in order to seamlessly implement and drive sustainability attributes across Amazon Hardware products.

In this role, you will be part of the central Amazon Devices & Services Sustainability team, working closely with Product Management, Program Management and Engineering Teams across all programs in all product families to impact product definition, execution and delivery in alignment with our Devices & Services sustainability goals. You will work as the central point of contact between sustainability engineers and program owners to drive measurable impact and communicate sustainability targets necessary to reach program level goals.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sustainability Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Work across all product teams to identify and drive sustainability attributes across all devices & accessories programs

  • Collaborate to ensure necessary sustainability process steps are planned and executed correctly

  • Coordinate sustainability inputs across Product Development Process (PDP) documents and data collection contributing to Life Cycle Assessments

  • Demonstrate the ability to influence sustainability decisions on programs as a proxy for the Devices sustainability team

  • Support tracking sustainability requirements and status with cross functional teams for attributes contributing to carbon reduction efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 2+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
