Meta Supplier Quality Engineer for FPC/FPCA in Sunnyvale, California

Supplier Quality Engineer for FPC/FPCA Responsibilities:

  1. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be in charge of the FPC/PCB process/quality control, FPCA quality control, and the entire supply chain preparedness.

  2. Drive Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) activities and provide technical assistance to improve process capability and resolve technical issues.

  3. Identify equipment, fixture, and tooling needs and drive implementation steps to qualify and optimize the manufacturing process.

  4. Establish quality and process control plans at vendors for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered.

  5. Responsible for conducting Design/Process FMEA, Failure analysis, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control.

  6. The SQE will collaborate with the engineering team to understand product design intent and play a key role in supplier identification and selection.

  7. Develop and institutionalize our vendor and supplier selection process.

  8. Assess prospective vendors' process capabilities in order to achieve project goals and reduce module costs.

  9. Publish concise reports or plans for module yield performance, specification convergence status, drive Failure analysis, Corrective Action implementation plan, and yield bridge to mass production.

  10. Responsible for supplier quality management with a focus on assessing supplier production and quality controls, evaluating supplier readiness, and adherence to module quality plan.

  11. Partner with Engineering to define product acceptance plans based on PRD.

  12. Collaborate with Suppliers and Engineering teams in assessing, proposing, and developing process technologies based on project requirements.

  13. 35% global travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. 6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering in consumer electronics with relevant work experience, some process engineering experience.

  3. Demonstrate understanding of FPC(A) and PCB manufacturing processes, as well as industry-standard equipment, chemistries, and procedures.

  4. SMT experience with fixture compensation, SPI, Reflow, AOI, and electrical function testing.

  5. Experience with Multilayer FPC with HDI technology is essential, such as Blind / Buried Via, Filled Via, and Button Plating. Knowledge of advanced technologies like LPI Cover-lay, LCP, Vectran flex designs, and Rigid-Flex is preferred.

  6. PCB experience with HDI / Laser Microvia, Blind / Buried Via, Via-In-Pad, and commonly used Surface Finish in the industry.

  7. Experienced in performing quality audits, determining quality control plans, executing on-site quality management, driving corrective actions, and collaborating with FATP on solving issues for FPC(A) & PCB.

  8. Hands-on experience with FPC(A) & PCB electrical performance and reliability testing.

  9. Experienced in general quality tool utilization, such as QFD, PFMEA, CTQ, CPK, SPC, GR&R, correlation, and DOE. Familiarity with GD&T practices, Metrology, DFMEA, and Stackup tolerance analysis.

  10. Experience with Excel, Mini-tab, or JMP.

  11. Experience in tooling, jigs, and fixtures design & implementation.

  12. Experience detecting risks and establishing effective mitigation strategies.

  13. Effective problem-solving and collaboration experience.

  14. Knowledgeable in conducting DOEs, Line qualification, Machine Buy-off, Cycle Time & UPH studies, and Automation.

  1. Masters degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience.

  2. Communication and presentation skills. Experience conducting technical reviews with senior leadership.

  3. Project management experience and experience with creative problem-solving in a development environment.

  4. Have Ownership/Leadership mindset with experience in a leadership position and achieve results with minimal supervision.

Public Compensation:

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
