The Worldwide BPR team is looking for an experienced supply chain professional to partner with our Supply Chain Planning teams to drive optimization through process, data and technology solutions. This individual will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking efforts to improve Apple’s Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have deep process re-engineering experience and be self-directed, motivated, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment! Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical, project management and leadership skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning the organization.

Description

This role requires a deep understanding of core operations throughout the supply chain to manage complex, global initiatives supporting a wide range of initiatives. Success requires an individual to think strategically, connecting the dots of the bigger picture, as well as being comfortable in the details of the all key deliverables. Candidates must be self-motivated, comfortable working with minimal direction in a global, fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. Successful team members are consummate team player capable of working with cross functional business teams to identify improvements and deliver capabilities that will exceed our customers’ expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Act as an advocate for functional teams to define and deliver solution capabilities (requirements, solution design, planning algorithms, user experience, user-testing, etc.) • Work with functional stakeholders to manage business process and technology roadmaps in support of long-term strategy • Inspire change by implementing new ideas effectively within the Apple culture; Influence decisions and change management through collaboration, leadership and a customer- focused approach • Develop project justification proposals, business cases and return on investment estimates; obtain executive approval and funding

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MS (in relevant fields like Industrial Engineering, Operations Research etc.) or MBA is desired.

  • 8 - 10 years of global supply chain experience, preferably in high-tech, consumer electronics or retail industries

  • Proven track record of leading strategic programs, combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasks

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad exposure to supply chain management processes, including S&OP. demand planning, , supply planning, Inventory optimization, execution as well as collaborative planning processes with upstream and downstream supply chain partners

  • Strong functional knowledge of supply planning and optimization tools such as Gurobi etc.

  • Solid experience in architecting supply allocation solutions comprehending different supply conditions such as unconstrained, constrained, NPI, EOL etc. Exposure to leading industry tools such as o9, Blue Yonder, E2Open etc is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of both LP and heuristic solvers is desired

  • Ability to understand solution architecture involving cloud technologies and driving solutions for best-in-class scalability and performance

  • Solid understanding of user experience principles to translate highly complex plans generated by the optimization solvers into simplified business-friendly output

  • Ability to conceptualize end to end planning solutions that enable planning and collaboration workflows, including capabilities such as embedded analytics and exceptions

  • Expert in writing detailed solution specifications, diagrams, best practices/standards documentation, operating procedures, test plans/test reports, etc

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
