Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Devices Pre-Owned Business and Trade-in Finance in Sunnyvale, California

Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in either Sunnyvale, CA or Bellevue, WA to be a key member in our Devices (Pre-Owned and Trade-In business) finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative and fast growing businesses of Amazon in a role where you will have regular interaction with executives and various key business units across the organization. Be the finance support for the quickly growing Pre-Owned Devices and Trade-In business which includes certified refurbished sales and the devices trade-in program in the global market place. Partnering with the business leaders across product lines, you will work closely with business and finance teams to create financial models that provide business intelligence for key decisions in a timely, accurate, and actionable manner, define and implement sales and profit maximizing strategies, drive merchandising, pricing, profitability and promotion analysis, lead short and long term planning, work cross functionally with the Reverse Logistics team to understand supply forecasts and reparability of devices and thereby its impact to the Pre-Owned Sales business. You will own and manage the P&L for both the Pre-Owned Sales and Trade-In business functions and present profitability analysis in quarterly finance and business reviews.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, business partnership and financial modeling capabilities, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing projects effectively.
The role also requires regular interaction with various business teams, providing reporting and business support for decision making and ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios.
Key job responsibilities
Managing Pre-Owned and Trade-In channel financials, metrics and program budgets
Supporting Pre-Owned and Trade-In decision making (product and initiatives) with financial modeling and guidance including ROI and pricing analysis
Deriving meaningful insights and recommendations from large data sets
Tracking initiatives including automation projects that span multiple business functions
Coordinating and supporting planning and month-end close processes
Developing models/metrics and preparing commentary for Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly business reviews for Pre-Owned business and Trade-In
Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support the business
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
