Insight Global Romance Editor (REMOTE) in Sunnyvale, California

Job Description

Insight Global is sourcing for a Romance Editors to sit remote for one of our fastest growing gaming clients in the Bay Area.

This person will be responsible for:

-Editorial Tasks: Perform developmental and line edits. Coordinate with Head of Studio and Managing Editor regarding timeline, schedule, and potential author issues as they arise. Provide/create marketing materials as needed. Provide/create metadata (cover copy, taglines, keywords, etc.).

-Talent Development: Nurture and guide authors, helping them grow within the ecosystem.

-Platform Familiarity: Maintain a deep understanding of key web novel platforms (such as Wattpad and Radish) and trends in digital romance novels.

-Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with authors, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring their satisfaction.

-Market Analysis: Stay informed about trends and competition within the romance genre and recommend acquisition strategies.

-Collaborative Role: Work closely with the content, marketing, and legal teams to support author success from acquisition to publication.

This role can pay between $26-$30/hour depending on skillset and years of experience.

Skills and Requirements

-3+ years of experience as an editor, particularly in the romance genre

-Ability to identify and nurture emerging talent.

-Familiarity with digital storytelling trends and web novel platforms.

-A passion for romance novels and storytelling. -Acquisition experience is a plus null
