As a machine learning researcher on the Apple Vision Pro team, you will perform cutting-edge artificial intelligence research that will shape the future of spatial computing. Our mission is to leverage computer vision fused with other modalities to understand human interactions with the physical, social, and virtual worlds. Ever evolving, our current focus is on hand gesture recognition with data and power-efficient methods to enable Apple Vision Pro users with an effortless and natural interaction experience. We are looking for a candidate who is recognized as an inspiring leader in the field and has proven strong ability in developing machine learning algorithms for computer vision problems. Key Qualifications

• Domain expertise in computer vision

• Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and statistics.

• Publication record in relevant venues (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, AAAI, SIGGRAPH).

• Proficient in Python and C/C++; CUDA or other GPGPU is a plus.

• Expertise with at least one deep learning framework, for example PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a diverse environment

Work on some of the most high-reaching technical problems on data and compute efficient machine learning and spatial AI Research novel AI solutions directly impacting Apple products Collaborate with elite machine learning researchers and engineers to bring research ideas to production Have the opportunity to and present your work in world-class scientific venues in machine learning Provide technical mentorship and guidance

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
