Required Skills:

Image Sensor Firmware Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Design a camera system using a custom design control board, bring up image sensor test boards and develop sensor test programs to enable image sensor characterization.

2. Sensor board and camera system firmware development, software development for sensor characterization test program, and camera system application interface program development.

3. Develop and standardize image sensor test program platform to support both custom designed and off the shelf sensors.

4. Develop API engine to integrate board, sensor, and external instrument control.

5. Develop GUI based test program to enable sensor control, image streaming, and image data analysis.

6. Analyze, design, develop and debug image sensor drivers/firmware for image sensor reference designs, image sensor characterization boards, and image sensor validation boards.

7. Work closely with cross functional teams to define test spec and procedures for new prototype devices and systems.

8. Travel is required 10% of the time.

9. Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field, and two years of work experience in job offered or a computer-related occupation.

11. 1. Microcontroller based embedded system development, ARM/RISC-V/MicroBlaze processors, embedded bare metal code and drivers
12. 2. Microcontroller, driver, board-level system software development
13. 3. Software design and programming in Python, C, and C++ for development and debugging
14. 4. Debugging tools: Bus Pirate, Scout, JTAG, or oscilloscopes
15. 5. Software development tools: Revision control systems (GIT or Mercurial) to manage projects
16. 6. Peripherals and communication protocols
17. 7. Operating Systems and RTOS
18. 8. Understanding Schematics and Gerber.

Public Compensation:

$224,925/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
